Human Ties
--- By Prof. David Lawson
Peace and harmony on earth,
Good human ties between men,
I heard Confucius and Lao Zi
preach them over and over again.
By East Lake cherry blossoms bloom.
Their scent of sweetness is divine.
Grapes and berries in my friend’s backyard,
Spring forth and stretch out upon every vine.
With the Mid-Autumn Festival tonight,
The Chinese folks treat me with osmanthus wine.
The full moon rises in the sky with serenity.
Delicious mooncake and green tea we dine.
How many people are righteous and virtuous?
How many people are noble and kind?
How many people are godly and holy?
What about travelling to China to find?
