The Ecommerce Manager will primarily oversee and manage the E-commerce department with a significant online presence. They will handle decision-making for the website, social media accounts, and online advertising. They will also be responsible for researching and developing new online marketing strategies and hiring and training the rest of the Ecommerce department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall:

 - To implement the vision and roadmaps of the local eCommerce strategy; strategically grow eCommerce ahead of the market in a specific location;

 - Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the design, development and maintenance of Internet and mobile applications to manage an organization's online business model and strategy.

 - Collaborate with internal teams, such as the marketing team, to plan, develop, evaluate and manage an organization’s online presence, including public relations, communications, marketing, commercial activities and social media management.

 - Tailor portfolio of opportunities in eCommerce to the local market to make it a platform for growth – including through partnerships with brands and communication initiatives;

 - Identify and coordinate local promotions and launch of new products within the eCommerce area with target customers;

 - Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products, and competitors to be a trusted business advisor to accounts

 - Optimize end-to-end region-specific customer service journeys by devising new solutions, services, products or propositions

 - Identify and implement new opportunities throughout the customer journey to deliver high-performing, agile customer interactions and touchpoints.

 - Develop and implement an eCommerce strategy to improve website performance

 - Present the company and its products at an online and in-person meeting

 - Hire, train, direct and motivate staff

Website Management:

 - Manage daily operations for our websites, including content management, product set-up, asset uploading, promotions, and analytics

 - Develop and execute a site plan that includes product launches, marketing campaigns, seasonal & promotional events, and regular content updates

 - Leverage website analytics, research and other data sources to understand performance and customer interaction, identifying opportunities for improvement

 - Troubleshoot order issues in collaboration with production and customer service teams

Digital Marketing:

 - Drive eCommerce results through digital campaigns and promotions

 - Optimize and develop our email marketing program

 - Plan, develop, test, analyze and optimize paid advertising campaigns on WeChat, Instagram, and search engines.

 - Monitor and evaluate digital marketing channel performance

 - Stay up to date with advertising trends, best practices, tools and emerging platforms

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 - Proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the retail industry (with a strong focus on eCommerce);

 - Demonstrable experience coordinating SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns;

 - Deep understanding of all the commercial levers to drive performance (range, price, experience, marketing);

 - Operational knowledge of techniques required for market research and analysis;

Sound knowledge of website management and eCommerce usability;

 - A firm grasp of modern technology and social media is essential;

 - An expert understanding of spreadsheets, databases, financial analysis, website design, search engine optimization, and e-marketing strategy will be vital in fulfilling the many functions of the job.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering, operations, Marketing Management, Information Systems, or a related field.

 - Minimum five years of experience in e-commerce and digital marketing

 - Strong background in digital marketing principles such as funnel optimization UX, SEO & Landing Page optimization & Display expertise in customer journey management, digital and communications;

 - Working knowledge of search engine optimization practices

 - Comprehensive understanding of Google Analytics

 - Strong analytical skills, data-driven marketer

 - Able to work under pressure and deliver against immediate deadlines

 - Able to work effectively with ambiguity, adapting quickly to changing goals and objectives

 - Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, MS Access and others.

 - Entrepreneurial, optimistic, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

 - Startup or entrepreneurship experience.

 - Being able to communicate in Mandarin Chinese is an asset.

JOB TYPES: Full-time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week

SALARY: $35.50 - $45/hour

LOCATION: Richmond, BC

VACATION: 10 Days paid/Year or 4%
