Responsibilities:

• Work with apprentices to complete framing, siding and all aspects of Carpentry
• Work everything from form to finish.
• Reading and interpreting architectural blueprints, diagrams, and plans.
• Determining the type and amount of material required for each project. (Journeyman)
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Installing wooden structures such as frames, stairways, rafters, and partitions.
• Inspecting the integrity of structures upon their installation.
• Monitoring inventory and calling to replenish supplies, as needed.
• Complying with all applicable safety regulations.
• Training and managing apprentices and subordinates.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years experience as carpenter for journeyman position, 1 years preferred for apprentice.
• Red Seal Ticketed Journeyman Carpenter given preference, but not required.
