加中文化理事会28日在多伦多召开新闻发布会，宣布2012第十届加拿大国际儿童艺术节正式启动。
2012第十届加拿大国际儿童艺术节组委会执行主席Sammi
Shi在发布会上表示，本届艺术节设置了七大类项目，分别是：
1、加拿大国际儿童艺术展、
2、加拿大国际儿童音乐舞蹈大赛、
3、加拿大国际儿童电影大赛、
4、加拿大国际儿童绿色创意大赛、
5、帮助非洲儿童项目、
6、天文局畅游星际的项目、
7、加拿大国际儿童艺术节纪录片摄制。
Sammi表示：加拿大国际儿童艺术节由2002年儿童艺术展发展而来，今年是在加拿大举办的第十届。
据了解已经走过十年的加拿大国际儿童艺术节现已成为世界知名的国际儿童艺术节之一。艺术节为世界各国小艺术家充分展示他们自己独特的艺术风采和魅力提供了绝佳的舞台。它吸引了3000多名世界各国的儿童直接参展，万余孩子前来参观，从中受益的儿童更多达数十万。

加拿大国际儿童艺术节组委会主席周维奇先生宣布，今年的艺术节将开设中国赛区，北京市实验外国语学校和宋庆龄国际幼儿院将作为中国的承办和协办方。他们将全权负责中国地区的推广、征集选送作品和赴加拿大参加艺术节等相关项目。
周维奇先生还特别邀请加拿大国会议员詹嘉礼先生到中国推介艺术节，并考察艺术节中方合作单位。詹嘉礼先生愉快得接受了邀请。
艺术节各项比赛从即日起全球开始接受报名，截止日期为6月22日。
艺术节将于7月21日至8月3日在加拿大多伦多市政厅举行，7月28日在多伦多市政厅广场将举行大型颁奖典礼和大型文艺表演。

(120cm ) ，立体艺术类作品长宽高相加不超过 40英寸（ 1m ）。动态类可以是光盘（动态类务必为影碟机播放的
MPG、AVI、MOV、SWF等格式格式和源文件格式各一份，保证组委会有修改源文件进行展播的权利。不愿组委会修改的，可不提供源文件格式）；为保证参赛影片的清晰度，分辨率不得小于640×480
。
4、请在参展作品背后用文字注明：作品名称、姓名、年龄、通信地址、邮编、联系电话、电子邮件地址。系列照片、组照请标明顺序。（注意：不得在作品正面出现参展者姓名等信息，作品尺寸不得随意更改，否则将取消参展资格。）
5、参展作品必须是参展者近一年内并亲自完成的作品。参展作品一律不得装裱及加装镜框。参展者可提交多幅作品参加展览，但不可以是一种艺术类别。
6、根据组委会的规定向参展者收取参展费
$20 加币 / 每幅，会员$15加币 / 每幅。
团体
$150 / 10幅，所收费用将全部用于本届展览活动费用的补充。
7、主办单位将聘请加拿大著名艺术家组成评审委员会对参展作品进行评选。评审标准根据参展作品的创意、主题表现及技巧三方面来评定。（互联网投票占50%，评委评分50%）
7、所有参加本次展览的作品都不退稿。参展作品的所有权将属于加拿大国际儿童艺术展组委会。组委会有权对作品拍卖、复制、发行、展览、摄制、通过信息网络传播、编辑参展作品等。

Art Exhibition, as a part of Canada International Children’s Art Festival, will
be held in Toronto City Hall from July 28 to August 03, 2012. (100 Queen Street

Eligibility:
Individual
exhibitor or groups of exhibitors of any nationality, who must be age 17 or
under, whose artwork is intended for use in 2012 CICAF, are eligible to enter
the Exhibition, either directly or through schools or
workshops.
