Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with business objectives
- Source and procure materials, goods, and services required by the company
- Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and establish inventory levels
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to minimize excess or shortage
- Oversee the supplier selection process and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Utilize systems such as MRP (Material Requirements Planning) for efficient procurement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement role
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain management
- Proficiency in negotiating contracts and pricing agreements
- Familiarity with MRP systems for inventory control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in fabricating or sourcing materials
- Ability to analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions
