We are currently seeking staff who are creative, self motivated and have a passion for art. We are an art studio that teaches students ages 7-18. We are an art class that specializes in creativity and individual thought. We are looking for individuals with similar values.

Job description:

Teach beginning wheel throwing and sculpture classes in the evening

Teach + support students working on university portfolio applications

If possible, teach other fine arts medium

Creating lesson plans for the class

Setting up and cleaning after class

Teaching experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement educational activities and lessons for children in a classroom setting

Create a nurturing and stimulating environment to facilitate learning and development

Provide guidance and support to children in their social, emotional, and cognitive growth

Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment

Qualifications:

have 2 or more years of experience using the wheel

Be enrolled or graduated from an art university or hold an art degree

Preferably be speaking fluent in both English and Mandarin

Sculpture portfolio (only photos are ok)

Preferably experience working with children

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children

Ability to multitask and manage a classroom effectively

Ability to work in a team

If possible, teach other fine art mediums

Have a portfolio for other mediums

Salary: starting $16.75 per hour

Benefits: Flexible Hours, Close to Transit

Schedules:

2 - 4 hours a week

Monday - Friday from 3-9
