The College is looking forward to welcoming an Instructor to teach“Human Resource Management”,to work with a team of experienced and talented people who have the passion about education, innovation and students’ success.
The course “Human Resource Management”introduces students to the comprehensive responsibilities of Human Resource Management in today’s evolving and diverse business environment. Students will learn how Human Resource Managers apply best practices, provide value, manage the global marketplace, and oversee talent in the workplace. Specific emphasis will be placed on the topics of recruitment, job analysis, legal compliance, human capital, training, performance management, and building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Plan, organize, and prepare classes, including developing detailed lesson plans, assignments, and grading. - Develop learning materials that support the learning objectives and planned activities of the programs. - Instruct classes by using a variety of teaching strategies and student assessment methods. - Follow the procedures of the registration office, including progress reports, attendance records, quizzes and exams records, and class time and room scheduling. - Participate in the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the college's quality improvement procedures as required. - Answer students’ questions and provide support to help them.
Required Qualifications: - Education and experience: a certificate, diploma or degree and 2 years of related work experience OR 10 years of work experience in an occupation relevant to the course - Experience in developing and delivering presentations on-line and in person. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Leadership skills. - Attention to detail and accurate record keeping. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Ability to work with current learning tools and technologies for delivery of instruction. - Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of software. - Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement.
Position Location Richmond, BC Onsite
Compensation We offer competitive compensation: $30-$40/hour based on experience
