The Lab Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Weighing, Digestion and Specialty Assay departments. No previous experience required, training will be provided.

Starting salary $19.0/$20.0 depending on the position, plus shift differential incentive. After probationary period, will be elegible for production bonus and medical insurance coverage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform general laboratory tasks including, but not limited to: weighing samples, washing vessels, glassware and other laboratory apparatus, bulking up and transferring solutions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of department work stations and equipment.
• Neutralize laboratory waste and dispose of waste in accordance with local waste disposal regulations.
• Coordinate location, retrieval and return of boxes between the Logistics and Weighing departments.
• Use correct methods in accordance with established procedures and schedules.
• Verify and record calibration of equipment as needed.
• Adhere to safe laboratory practices by working in accordance with the MSALABS Health and Safety program.
• Perform other duties as required by Management
