Job description: Bookkeeper

Job type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: 30 hour per week, CAD26.50/hour

Location: #2185 - 8888 Odlin Cresent, Richmond, BC, Canada

Duties and Responsibilities

• Recording day to day financial transactions; verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book and general ledger
• Issuing invoices and payment receipts to clients;
• Manage accounts payable and receivable and issuing payment checks;
• Working on and analyze monthly and yearly financial reports.
• Prepare monthly bank/credit card reconciliations
• Prepare cash flow report
• Process customer credit card payments
• Prepare monthly/annual government GST/PST/Worker’s compensation return.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be needed in the office.

Requirements and skills: 

• At least one year proven bookkeeping experience.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
• Data entry skills, good sense on numbers.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
