Day to Day Tasks and Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
-Manage company email account. All emails should be addressed within 3 hours. The CFI must be informed of any emails that cannot be addressed within this time frame.
-Manage prospective students, recruiting and walk-ins
-Process application
-Manage the student list, student transcripts and contact with UFV
-Assist in the coordination of ground schools, schedules and course offerings with Chief Flight Instructor, Board of Operations and President
-Provide student counselling, academic course selection advice and registration help
-Provide general information and advice to international students
-Be informed of current costing information
-Liaison between high school career counselors
-Manage notifications through email or other approaches
-Assist administrative staff as required
-Report student issues to CFI
-Manage school public certificates
Required skills
-Must be punctual and accountable
-Typing and computer knowledge (45 wpm, familiarity with Microsoft Word)
-Pleasant communication skills in person, over the phone and email
-Organized with attention to detail
-Has the ability to multi-task, prioritize and ‘think on your feet’
-Independent and a strong ability to work alone
-Flexible in a work environment that can range from casual to fast-paced
-Knowledge of psychology is an asset
-Knowledge of aviation industry is an asset
-Knowledge/background of multicultural environment is an asset
-Multiple language ability is an asset
-Work disciplines

Experience
-2 years of administration/reception (preferred)
-At least 2 years of experience in education
-Post-secondary education degree/certificate/diploma (required)
