Honestly this laptop is one of the best for gaming and content creation! With the 144hz option for ips you get crisp images and being backed with the i7 8750h and a gym 1060 you can expect to get some buttery smooth FPS in modern titles.

    Pros:
High end components without the high end price tag

Very good thermals out of the box! Got a cone bench score of 1200 without any issue.

    Cons:
There are very little cons to this system, lack of accessories and no proper driver support can be an issue if you don’t know what you’re doing or are new to the pc space. Out of the box everything functioned as expected except the rgb keyboard but a quick google search revealed that this uses the same keyboard as the Eluktronics Revolve G2 Slim, so I grabbed the drivers and everything worked without a hitch!

I would 100% recommend this as a purchase for anyone looking to get a higher end laptop

This is an awesome laptop! I had a HUGE issues with the fans and overheating.. i had to spend hours online navigating a Chinese website to find the correct drivers to adjust the keyboard lighting/fan speed! After that it has worked like a charm :)

So... Without beating around the bush too much, the title says the truth. You get the specs you paid for, and it works.
And hey it even ended up coming early (which was good because of the next part)

BUT. And here comes the interesting part...

Right off the bat I run in into trouble - trackpad doesnt work. Just doesnt register at all.
I run through the initial setup using the clicky keyboard alone (more on that later) trying desperately to turn on the WiFi so I could fix the mouse problem, but that wouldnt work either until I figured to try the keyboard function key and not just windows settings.
Thankfully there were a FEW threads online in different websites stating the obvious - I wasnt alone with this issue! Which also meant someone found a solution (I think it was off of CyberpowerPC's forums which linked to a driver download page which was itself in chinese) so managed to fix that problem...

Now maybe I'm just not using it enough for gaming (My "games" are simulators with a remote) but the mechanical keyboard is mostly noisy. Typing this review makes me rethink the idea simply cause I am getting tired of the clicking sound... Its ok. I just dont see the advantage.
And it IS a little crammed and I find myself making more typing mistakes than usual but thats something to get used to, and having the numpad has been fun I have to admit.

All in all I find many flaws in this computer but it does ultimately serve the purpose - it had the right specs at the right price. Its not the best by any measure other than the price. But so far it works, so for that alone it seems worth it.

    Other bits and pieces:
    Screen is surprisingly nice
Battery is surprisingly short - 95% of the time hooked to AC.
Great array of ports but power at the back just doesnt work well...
Mic/Headphone combo port would've made this more expensive?
I've yet to use the Ethernet plug but hot-damn its nice to have one.
And cool though it may be to have "control" of the fan, lets be honest I never want it to run full speed unless it has to.

The laptop is a TONGFANG GK5CN5Z (and other manufacturers sell their versions of it), so it has a 4 heatpipe shared cooling which works great.

    The pros:
-The bezels are really thin and make the whole laptop feel modern unlike the other non slim version.
-The RGB keyboard is clicky and feels great to type on, and the RGB is controllable through every single key.
-The cooling is great out of the box, and if you repaste it will drop another 10-15 degrees making gaming in even intensive games easy (COD blackout was getting 65-69c gpu load (OCD +100 mhz core/500mhz ram), and cpu between 65 to 71c (with the clocks being anywhere from 3.5 to 3.9ghz on all cores0.
Games like DBD stay pegged at 3.9ghz throughout entirely.
-1100 Cinebench R15 score on the cpu.
-The display is 60hz but is overclockable to 85hz, and is 72% ntsc (98% srgb) with 310 nits of brightness.
-The touch pad is great and scrolls smoothly.
-16GB of solid memory (dual channel).
-Fans when manually adjusted aren't too loud and don't have any kind of annoying pitch or rattle, just smooth sound of air.
I also suggest using throttlestop and undervolting the laptop -.165 on core and -.125 on cache for even better temps.

    The cons:
-Cyberpower for whatever reason bundles an app with this laptop that doesn't do anything. It's meant to control the lgihts but fails at that, and has no fan control either.
-Since it's a tongfang laptop you should download the gaming center (you can find links in notebook reviews thread).
This will let you control the RBG keys, their behavior/recolor, etc, and it will let you control which mode (gaming/equal/power saving) AND control fans (which is HUGELY important) via office mode and set speed. In my personal case gaming mode doesnt turn on fan so I use office mode (but fans never turned on in my particular unit to begin with). This is the 2nd tongfang i got from cyberpower and both did not have the proper app installed to control fans, whether by design or mistake is beyond me.
-The power brick is 150w, which is fine for the 1050ti version, but if you get the 1060 it might not be sufficient for high wattage usage if both gpu/cpu are at max (you can get a 180w replacement brick elsewhere).
-The battery is only 45w, and lasts about 3-3.5 hours, but if you use it plugged in its no concern.
-The 500 gb SSD included isn't nvme but a m.2 WD blue, so max speeds of 500 mbps for read/write. You can put in your own NVME into slot 1 to get the 3000 speed with a proper nvme m.2 ssd.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Laptops you can Buy!
Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2018

My experiences with CyberPowerPC has been nothing but positive and the same goes with my recent purchase of this laptop. Just like my desktop this laptop came in perfect shape and condition right out of the box and I was able to get everything setup in less than an hour. The laptop is sleek and not too flashy so It can be used in a classroom setting without making you look like a dork. The battery life is what you would expect from a gaming laptop and the battery saving mode tremendously increases its battery life while not plugged in. The mechanical keyboard is amazing, it has a great tactile feel and the optional RGB colors and patterns are just a bonus. Now I'M going to list some pros and cons

    Pros:
    -Portable and not too heavy
-Great Mechanical Keyboard with Optional RGB lights
-Can Run games very fast with its beefy CPU and Gtx 1060 6Gb and I'm able to run every game I own on ultra settings with 100+ fps.
-Doesn't look too nerdy/Gamery, When I pull this out at Starbucks people won't know I'm a geek.
-Acceptable noise levels while under alot of stress.
-Does not heat up very much and has good airflow for a gaming laptop.
-Very Competitive price per part for a laptop
    - IO is very good with a lot of room for external cables and adapters
    Cons:
-Track pad is in an OK position, but if your really trying to have the best experience buy a Gaming mouse with a large mouse pad.
-Battery life can be limited while gaming on the go without a charger.
    -Has no optical drive
Overall This is a great purchase and I look forward to buying more products for Cyberpowerpc in the Future
